Crossing New PortMann Bridge

These are the photos taken while crossing the new Port Mann Bridge this morning, Saturday November 17 2012, from Chilliwack to downtown Vancouver. Only two lanes are opened for now, heading westbound; the eastbound were opened last month. The completion is expected to be by December 1 and the total eight lanes are opened. The old Port Mann Bridge was officially closed last night and will be dismantled soon, after 48 years service. Take advantage on free tolls from now until December 8. Drivers who register before February 2013 will receive a full year introductory rate, half price tolls.  I am kind of missing the old bridge already although it used to be called a killing bridge during rush hour.
